Become A Believer

Believe Jesus died for your sins and accept Him as your Savior.

Why follow Jesus?

Jesus is the only way to Heaven. None of us can ever be good enough to make it to Heaven. But
God so loved the world, that He sent Jesus, His only Son, to die and take the punishment for our
sins so we could live in Heaven for eternity.

When we give our lives to Jesus, we begin a life-long journey of following Him. The Bible shows
us how to follow Jesus in daily life: by obeying his teachings and following his example.

Ready to take your first step to follow Jesus?

We are all sinners.

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. -Romans 3:23 NASB

The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. -Romans 6:23 NLT

God demonstrated His great love for us through Jesus.

But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. -Romans 5:8 NLT

We must trust and confess Jesus as Lord.

That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
-Romans 10:9-10 NASB

We have assurance of salvation through Jesus.

For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. -Romans 10:13 NASB

A simple prayer to ask Jesus to be your Savior:

“God, I know I’m a sinner. I know my sin deserves to be punished. I believe Jesus is the Son of
God, who died for me, took the punishment for my sin, and rose from the grave. I ask for
forgiveness and want Jesus to be my Lord and Savior. Thank you for forgiving me and giving me
the gift of eternal life through Jesus.”

Follow Jesus in Baptism

Jesus’ parting words before He left this earth were, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” -Matthew 28:19

Baptism is a symbol of our salvation experience and illustrates Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. Just as Jesus died and was buried, when we’re baptized, we’re immersed in water, representing the death and burial of our old life. And just as Jesus was resurrected, we rise from the water, symbolizing the washing away of our sins and old life, to begin a new life in Christ.

Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun. -2 Corinthians 5:17

Baptism is a public celebration of our decision to follow Jesus and shows others that we have been made new because of what Jesus has done for us.
